Unforgettable Restaurants

If I could only recommend one restaurant, it would probably be Rosa Negra. I had one of the most delicious steaks I've ever eaten, and their famous grilled corn appetizer was unforgettable. The desserts were beautifully presented, especially for the children. Throughout the evening there were drummers, musicians, singers, and dancers performing around the restaurant, creating an atmosphere unlike anything we've experienced elsewhere. We loved it so much that we returned for a second dinner before leaving the city.

One of the highlights of our Mexico City trip. The food was absolutely outstanding and every dish was beautifully presented. Throughout dinner there was live music, a fashion show, and an energetic atmosphere that somehow still felt completely family-friendly. At one point the performers invited our children onto the dance floor, and watching them dance alongside everyone else became one of our favorite memories from the trip.

For an adults-only evening, we chose Parole — an elegant Italian-inspired restaurant with live violinists and opera singers performing throughout dinner. The entertainment was exceptional and created a beautiful atmosphere. A wonderful choice for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.

Accessible only by boat, BOWA on Lopud Island is in a category of its own. Reserve a private cabana for the day, enjoy a beautifully prepared multi-course meal, and spend the afternoon swimming in crystal-clear water. One of the most special experiences we've had anywhere in the world.

One of Dubrovnik's most celebrated restaurants, Nautika offers outstanding cuisine paired with spectacular views overlooking the Old Harbor and the Adriatic Sea. Dinner here feels every bit as memorable as the city itself.

Perched on the ancient city walls with panoramic views of the harbor, Restaurant 360 delivers both exceptional food and an atmosphere that's impossible to replicate. One of the most memorable dining experiences in all of Croatia.

Alain Ducasse's restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower is one of the most extraordinary dining experiences in the world — not just for the food, which is exceptional, but for the setting. Watching the city of Paris spread out below you as you eat is genuinely unforgettable. A special-occasion dinner that the children will talk about for years.

The original Ladurée on the Champs-Élysées is a Parisian institution — the birthplace of the double-decker macaron and one of the most beautiful tea rooms in the world. The pastel interiors, the glass cases of jewel-colored macarons, the hot chocolate — it is everything a Parisian patisserie should be. A non-negotiable stop with children.

For a proper Parisian bistro experience away from the tourist trail, Bistrot Paul Bert in the 11th arrondissement is the real thing — zinc bar, checked tablecloths, chalkboard menu, and cooking that reminds you why French food became the world's benchmark. The steak frites and the Paris-Brest dessert are legendary.

One of Santorini's most celebrated restaurants, Selene in Pyrgos village offers refined Greek cuisine that celebrates local ingredients — fava from Santorini, cherry tomatoes, capers, fresh seafood. The setting in the medieval village is beautiful and the food is exceptional. A special-occasion dinner worth planning around.

Down 300 steps from Oia lies the tiny port of Ammoudi Bay, where a handful of fish tavernas sit right at the water's edge. The octopus drying on lines in the sun, the fishing boats bobbing nearby, the freshest seafood imaginable — it's one of the most authentic dining experiences on the island. The walk back up is steep but absolutely worth it.

Perched on the caldera cliff with sweeping views, Santo Wines offers wine tastings of Santorini's distinctive Assyrtiko grape alongside small plates. The setting is spectacular and the wines are genuinely excellent — crisp, mineral, and unlike anything you'll find elsewhere. A wonderful way to spend a late afternoon before heading to watch the sunset.

The resort's Asian restaurant was, without exaggeration, one of the best dining experiences of our entire trip. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious — easily some of the best Asian cuisine I've ever had anywhere in the world. The fact that it's included in the all-inclusive rate makes it even more extraordinary.

The resort's Greek restaurant is a full cultural experience as much as a meal. Dinner often includes traditional live music, dancing, and the famous Greek plate-breaking celebrations. It's a joyful, festive atmosphere that the whole family loves — and the food is genuinely excellent.

A wonderful restaurant overlooking Chania's Venetian harbor. The owner, Afshin Mowlavi, personally welcomed us, recommended several house specialties, and made us feel like longtime friends rather than first-time visitors. The food was exceptional and remains one of our favorite meals from the entire trip.

A small restaurant tucked away on a quiet side street in Taormina. I ordered the lemon pasta and fresh fish — it was one of those meals you remember years later. The pasta was perfectly balanced, bright, fresh, and incredibly flavorful, and the fish was cooked to perfection. It was so good that we canceled another dinner reservation just so we could come back one more night and order the exact same meal again.

The Michelin-starred restaurant at our hotel was one of the finest meals of our entire Italian trip. The tasting menu showcases local mountain ingredients — wild herbs, aged cheeses, venison — with extraordinary technique.

The rifugios (mountain huts) scattered across the Alpe di Siusi serve simple, hearty mountain food — speck, polenta, goulash, apple strudel. Stop at whichever one you pass. They are all good.

The outdoor terrace overlooking the Grand Canal is exactly what you imagine when you dream about Venice. Breakfast here with gondolas drifting past is one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave.

Served in a magnificent ballroom with a terrace overlooking the lake, breakfast here feels like a royal banquet. Fresh fruit, artisanal breads, pastries, made-to-order dishes, cheeses, charcuterie — and a chocolate fountain that will make your children very happy.

A charming wood-fired pizzeria nestled within the hotel's gardens. Casual, relaxed, and serving delicious authentic Italian pizza in a beautiful outdoor setting. The perfect dinner after a long day on the lake.

The restaurant immediately next door to our apartment served one of the most delicious Margherita pizzas we've had anywhere in Italy. Simple, unpretentious, and absolutely perfect.

The cafés ringing Piazza delle Erbe are perfect for an aperitivo as the evening light fades and the square fills with locals. Order a Spritz, find a table, and watch Verona come alive.

Located atop the Rosewood, Luna Rooftop offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views of San Miguel's skyline. As the sun begins to set and the city glows in shades of gold and pink, it becomes one of the most magical places to spend an evening. During our visit there was live music along with performers walking across tightropes high above the crowd, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that was both elegant and entertaining.

Pirules quickly became one of our favorite dining experiences in San Miguel. The restaurant beautifully combines creative cuisine with a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for a memorable dinner.
